2013 AAWCC Awards

AAWCC held the 2013 Annual Awards Breakfast on Monday, April 22nd at the Hilton San Francisco Union Square Hotel.  Dr. Jerry Sue Thornton, President of Cuyahoga Community College was the keynote speaker. AAWCC Awards, Model Program Awards, Doctoral Scholarship and Regional Scholarship winners were announced.

We look forward to seeing our AAWCC members and colleagues at the 2014 Annual Awards Breakfast in April 2014 in Washington DC. 

	Dr. Jackie Claunch President Northwest Vista College Carolyn Desjardins CEO Award for outstanding service and support to AAWCC
	Dr. Edna Baehre-Kolovani President Tidewater College Mildred Bulpitt Woman of the Year Award in recognition of outstanding leadership and mentorship to provide opportunities for women in community colleges
	Dr. Alice Holloway Young Trustee Monroe Community College Trustee of the Year Award in recognition of outstanding leadership to community colleges by a trustee
	Model Program Awards: Portland Community College (Portland, Oregon) -  AAWCC Chapter Award for strengthening the chapter through academic, service-oriented and social elements for women at all levels of the college.
	Mercer Community College (West Windsor, New Jersey)  - AAWCC Community College Award for the Women Leadership Awards Breakfast that promotes AAWCC statewide by educating New Jersey community college women about AAWCC and encouraging them to establish chapters at their institutions.
	Monroe Community College (Rochester, New York) - AAWCC Digital Media Award for innovation with the AAWCC Chapter Newsletter that uses a collaborative approach to working across disciplines of the college and chapter members.
